Les Hall
Les was the president of Moorabbin Band CC in the 1957/58 season.

Frank Williams
Frank was instrumental in getting juniors started at MBCC. Many meetings and BBQs got all the local boys interested. Juniors kicked off in 1958/59 and by 1964 the club had won 2 junior premierships. Frank never played a senior match for the club, but numerous seasons as president as well as his junior coaching legacy propell the club forward for many years.

Ross Wood
Ross was an active member of MPCC for an amazing 43 years. He played in over 306 games, amassed over 4500 runs, and was a premiership player. Ross and his brother Bruce play a large part in the history of MPCC.

J. Pollock
The innaugural president of MBCC in 1941, a position he held for 5 more seasons over 16 years at the club.

Charlie Pay
Charlie was an early committee member at Morabbin Band CC, including being the president for 3 seasons. He played at the club for 15 seasons amassing over 170 games. Charlie won the association batting averafe and was always keen to pass on his knowledge to the younger cricketers coming through.

Don Wilkins

Ron Sharp
Ron was a long-term committee member at MB/MPCC, being president for 2 years, secretary for 4, and treasurer for 11. On top of this he also coached the juniors and played over 300 matches. A great bowler who won numerous bowling awards with career best figures of 11/51 in a match.

Ian Hutchison
A brilliant sportsman admired by both teammates and opponents. Joining the club in 1958 he went on to become Moorabbin Park's most decorated player over 26 years, playing in excess of 300 games for the club while simulataneously playing for Sandringham FC in the VFA. Ian was on the executive committee for many years specialising on the social side of things in the early days. Ian’s on field achievements were impressive, he won many awards and accolades during his time at the club including a stunning 9/10 & being named in the Team of Century (1941-2000).

Neil Imlach
Neil was a valuable contributor to MPCC. Not only was he a life member, president, and long-term committee member, Neil regularly volunteered to coach and assist the up and coming juniors throughout the 1950's and 60's. On the field Neil was a handy bowler winning the association bowling average in 1962.

Ron Paternoster Jnr
Ron was an early life member of the Moorabbin Band Cricket Club, serving over 25 seasons. A very capable cricketer with both the bat and bowl, he ammassed over 280 games, 3624 runs, and 174 wickets at MPCC. He played in two 1st XI premierships and was the best clubman in 1976/77.

John McIntyre
John was a good medium pace bowler taking over 240 wickets. John was also a handy batsman who achieved 200 game status. John was at the club for 16 years and was part of the general committeewith a special interest in social activities. John was also a member of the Team of the Century (1941-2000). A fine competitor whose statistics speak for themselves.​

David Box
David played 150 games during his 14 years at the club, making 835 runs and taking 282 wickets with his best bowling being 6/32 – which included a hat trick. David held the role of Treasurer along with other various committee roles showing a ‘special interest’ in the social aspect at the club. After most games David could be found on top of the bar entertaining the crowd by reading scores and achievements that had occurred during the day.

Peter Hanlon
Peter played over 300 games between 1958/59 and 1984/85, making 2371 with a highest score of 101 against Beaumaris. Peter took in excess of 600 wickets and won bowling averages on 5 occasions (most notable was Peter's 6/5 including a hat-trick in the 1966/67 1st XI Final). Peter was awarded the innaugral Roy Paxino Trophy in 1978/79 for the best player in the VTCA and the inaugural 1st XI Champion in 1980/81. The cricketer he was, Peter was selected for the VJCA combined team which played 3 games against Western Australia, and was awarded player of the series. Peter was a former President of the club and was on the committee for 21 years. He is highly regarded by all being a regular attendee at MPCC & Bayside games and events.

Peter Ellis
Peter was another long serving member at MPCC between 1965-1995. This included many years on the committee including serving the roles of secratary and president. Peter was a very capable cricketer with both bat and ball. His 5079 runs depicts his wothiness with the bat, which included numerous centuries. Winning bowling awards too only added to his legacy at MPCC.

Ian Wyatt
Ian was a long term MPCC participant of some 20 years. He was a dedicated clubman carrying out many executive and general committee roles including President for 4 years, Secretary for 1 year andTreasurer for 4 years. Ian was also a large player in Dane Road receiving many upgrades, including the current clubrooms. Ian’s statistics and history sheet depicts Ian as a great batter, bowler and premiership player. It’s no surprise why the MPCC Best Clubman award was named in honour of Ian.​

Ross Phillipson
Ross was a club legend and stalwart who commended at MPCC in 1967/68. He held the largest unbroken length of service by an individual at the club, which included the junior best clubman in 1969/70, senior best clubman in 1984/85, archival satistician, curator (VTCA turf wicket of the year with Ross Foenander and Derek Jennison), scorer, equipment manager, and long time serving committee member. While Ross only played 30 senior games, his legacy as the backbone of the club shows us all just how valuable our volunteers are. The 4th XI best and fairest was named in his honor following his passing.

Bruce Wood
Bruce was around the club for 26 years, helpfully participating around many aspects of MPCC. His stats show his worth as an all-rounder. A great team player amassed 270 games and 2880 runs for the club. Alongside his brother Ross, both contributed plenty on and off the field for the club.

Ross Foenander
Ross became the youngest Moorabbin Park life member when he was inducted at just age 29. Ross has held numerous roles at MPCC including club manager and social manager, and most notably has been the longstanding curator. In 1994 when the local councils were re-structured, Ross became the de-facto curator at Dane Road, a role he has held for most years since (he was awarded VTCA's turf wicket of the year alongide Ross Phillipson and Derek Jennison). After a few years away from the role Ross was one of the life members to return to the newly formed Bayside, and picked up where he left off as the Dane Road curator, and also the Turner Road curator.

Richard Baron
Richard was a longtime serving member of MPCC for over 28 seasons. A player with a big heart, another player extremely capable with both bat and ball. Betwen 1972 and 2001 he accumulated 2256 runs, 205 wickets, and was the 1978/79 senior club champion.

David Lewis
David has been one of the most dedicated people to be part of the MPCC community. He dedicated himself to all facets of running the club, from President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Director of Cricket, Junior Coach, Curator, and retiring with the most played games at Moorabbin Park (488). After 34 seasons at the club with countless runs and wickets, David will go down as an all time great.

Harry Chadwick

Richard Lloyd
Known affectionately as “Lloydy”, Richard played 220 games over his many years at the club (1977/78 to 2016/17). Being very capable with both bat and ball Richard compiled over 4000 runs and over 40wickets. Richard won the 2nd XI batting and bowling awards in 1994/95 and has a highest score of 88runs. Richard held various committee roles through his time at MPCC including secretary in 1992/93 season. Richard has also been proud to see his son Nick follow in his footsteps and come through MPCC as an outstanding young cricketer.​

Michael Neale
Mick played 222 games for MPCC over 20 seasons, from juniors in under 14s into seniors. Mick won the 4th XI bowling award in 1980/91 and shared the best clubman award in 1987/88. Although not an outstanding individual player, Mick was a great teammate and played with a fierce desire to win and played in a hatrick of premierships in 1985/86 (3rd XI), 86/87 (2nd XI), 87/88 (2nd XI). Michael was tragically killed in a work accident in 1995, having been at training only days earlier in preparation for the upcoming season. The club instituted the Michael Neale 2nd XI Champion in his honor.

Colin Turnbull
Colin undertook various positions at MPCC over his 28 seasons at the club. He was very capable with both bat and bowl, a premiership player, club champion, and amassed 236 games for the club. His stats included 5 bowling awards, 1 batting award, and was a 4 time 2nd XI Michael Neale Medal recipient.

Derek Jennison
Derek played 106 games at MPCC over 16 seasons. As well as his on-field performances, it was his off-field contributions that stick in the mind of the MPCC community. Derek coached the club in 1991/92, was president for 6 years, and spent many many years coordinating annual reports, undetaking team manager positions, and curating (winning VTCA's turf wicket of the year, alongside Ross Foenander and Ross Phillipson.

Anthony Tressider
Anthony (known to most as Tres) made a massive contribution to the club both on and off the field over many decades and was a founding committee member of the Bayside CC. Anthony played the second most games at MPCC with 380, and passed the 400 mark with Bayside. He commenced playing in 1983/84, a multiple 1st XI premiership player with a great record in big games. A punishing top order bat and excellent off spin bowler.​

Shane Hesline
Shane played 315 games for MPCC from 1987/88 to 2016/17 as well as some Veterans games for theBayside Cricket Club. One of the best bats to have played for the club making 7772 runs, he hit 34 – 50sand 6 centuries with a highest score of 153no and backed this up with some solid wicket keeping performances. Multiple 1st XI premiership player as well as a multiple 1st XI Hanlon award winner. Shane was an outstanding contributor to the club off the field as a mentor who coached the clubs senior teams for 2 seasons (2008/09 and 2009/2010), he was an extremely active committee member taking on various roles most notably sponsorship, recruitment and fundraising through social activities.​

David McGeorge
David was another long-term member of MPCC, being around the club for 39 seasons between 1970 and 2010. He undertook the roles of President, Secretary, Treasurer, and was an active committee member for many years. He played 180 matches and was a 1st XI premiership player in 1974/75.

Mrs Clare Somerton
Clare was a long term supporter and volunteer at the MPCC, Treasurer at the Club for 6 seasons and involved at committee level and as a volunteer and supporter for many more seasons. Clare assisted in many different ways around the club from the Canteen on game days to also helping out with Juniorgames. Clare won the Ian Wyatt Best Clubman award in 1989/90 and again in 2009/10. Clare was always willing to assist with club commitments including taking her kids Michael, Ashley and Jessie to many junior games throughout the years.​

Richard Miller
Richard was at the club for 15 years and during that time he held a committee role for many years including President for 2 years. Richard played over 150 games with the club, coached junior teams,recruited other players and was a MPCC 100 metre gift winner in 1971. A gentleman who led by example and was held in high esteem by all at the club.​

Simon Brookhouse
Simon “Brooky” Brookhouse played over 200 games for MPCC and Bayside as a hard hitting middle-order batsman and an astute captain. Simon has had various committee roles around the club, perhaps though his greatest contribution to the Club was as President for 10 seasons from 2003/04 to 2012/13. He was also the inaugural President of Bayside Cricket Club through our first 3 seasons. A tireless and profound contributor to the club on and off the field Simon won the 3rd XI bowling average in 2005/06 and also played in many Veterans games swash buckling the ball around the park. ​

Ray Lovitt
Ray was at the club for 21 years, he was President for 1 year and held various committee roles including helping to organise various social gatherings. Ray was even known to hold various functions at his own home. What a brave man to do that! Ray played in excess of 250 games, was a Premiership player (1st Turf 1972/1973) and has the great honour of making 200 not out in one innings and also a couple of 100’s accredited to him. Ray was a great clubman, he had a cheerful disposition and was great person to have around the club.​

Paul Sugden
Paul has currently played over 150 games for the club over his 18 year career. Paul started off his cricketat the club as a medium pace bowler and an opening batsmen in the 1st XI. More recently he hasbecome a middle order finisher and a crafty off spin bowler. Paul has always played a big part at the club off field. An exceptional clubman who has had various roles on the committee including President, Treasurer and Secretary.​

Malcolm Somerton
Malcolm “Sommo” Somerton played over 200 games for MPCC and was awarded the Ian Wyatt Best Clubman award in 1987/88. Malcolm’s off-field contributions to the club were also vast at MPCC, he was a long serving member forover 39 seasons from 1973. Participating on the executive committee as well as other committee roles over many years, Malcolm also had 2 stints as President from 1990-1992 and 2013-2015. Malcolm also spent time coachingJunior sides throughout his time at the club including one to a premiership. Malcolm was also a great sponsor of theclub for many years through his own business Uptune Automotive.

Ms Tania Somerton
Tania grew up right next to the Dane Rd ground (house was where the current Carpark is). Tania’s playing career atMPCC started in 2003, where Tania played 4 seasons (2 as Captain/Coach). Tania’s affinity with Dane Rd, saw herscore 3 Centuries at the ground (100no, 101, & 109). Off field - Tania was always helping out, wherever possible this included helping Mal run the Bar (which meant always stocking the fridges) so all players and supporters were well hydrated. Tania ended up taking on the Bar Manager role, which included providing Thursday Night Dinners and also making sure there was afternoon tea every Saturday (for the 1st & 2nd XI Teams). Her work & dedication both on & off the field over many many years saw her rightly be honoured as the last life member of MPCC in 2018.​
